Thinking the artistical FORMS
When the electricity pylons will have the same expression’s purity that has been achieved for big bridges, they also will be called as an art form of the twentieth century.
Henry Dreyfuss, 1968
The aesthetic dimension of urban infrastructures is characterized by its constant oscillation between “technical production” and “artistic creation”. In this historical alternation there are some modus operandi of designing: from hyper-visibility of the iconic mask to in-visibility of topological mimesis, through the mediated approach of thinking about technological form in its essence as architectural figure of the landscape.
The third scenery analyzes the relation form/structure of urban infrastrutcures as expressive repertory of architectural practice.
